Merry Christmas Crossroads,
That’s the first time I’ve had to opportunity to say that this year. Probably a bit early, you’re thinking, but I’m already starting to get in the spirit. I better be, since I’ll be kicking off our Christmas series this weekend. I’ve titled it We Wish You a Messy Christmas. How’s that for a change?
I hope you’ll be here as we spend the next 3 weeks looking at the Mess that was encountered by all during the very first Christmas. And what started as a Mess turned into something beautiful. But that’s what God specializes in—taking what appears to be a Mess and makes it into something beautiful. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.
If you are here this weekend get some coffee and linger around the atrium. It was World AIDS Day December 1st and our AIDS memorial is still on display. Stop by and pick up information about that. And, you’ll find The Giving Tree. If you can, I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to help a family in need have a wonderful Christmas this year.
Well it’s been about 7 weeks since I’ve been up speaking, so if you think of me this weekend think PRAYER—I need all I can get!
God’s Best,
John
