Team members man (or, woman) the doors to the auditorium, handing out service programs with a welcoming smile as guests enter. This team assists guests in finding seats, provides the attendance numbers to staff, takes the offering, and helps to keep pens and Bibles stocked on auditorium tables.The most important requirement for a member of this team is a helpful, loving spirit. Ushers fulfill many roles before, during and after services, all of which set and maintain a welcoming worship experience.
Your smile is needed at one of our three entrances during weekend services. Our greeters hold doors, shake hands and offer friendly smiles as guests enter and exit the building. This team is often the first and last line of personal contact experienced by those who attend Crossroads.
A cup of coffee can go a long way toward creating a warm atmosphere. Our team keeps the pots percolating during services, and as needed during classes or events. Additionally, the team maintains clean and well-stocked coffee corner. Love coffee? How about tea? Lemonade? Water? Able to lift a 15lb carafe? The Hospitality Team is waiting for someone just like you.
The Bookstore @ Crossroads provides valued resources that help guests grow spiritually. Volunteers assist guests, straighten products, handle purchase transactions and other customer service-oriented tasks. We’re looking for retail-minded volunteers to operate the bookstore during weekend services. Sales and cashiering experience helpful.
Our traffic team members guide drivers to parking spaces, and in and out of the parking lot before and after services, helping ensure parking lot safety for vehicles and pedestrians. With a friendly wave and a smile, this team is the very first impression-maker at Crossroads. Team members must be reliable, and willing to work in all weather conditions. Friendly, smiling faces are required.
Crossroads Kids and Student Ministries
This team sets up/takes down tables, chairs, etc. for weekend services and large events. Additionally, this team helps return the church to an orderly state—tidied, trash removed, vacuumed, etc.—before the first service and after the last service of the weekend.
This team clears snow from the walkways, two hours before the weekend service and throughout the service if necessary. These intrepid volunteers bring their own tools (shovel, snow blower, etc.), and must be able to work outside in cold and/or snowy conditions.
Our security team members patrol the church building and grounds before, during and after weekend services, as well as during special events. Team members are on the lookout for any potentially dangerous situations or suspicious people, and are willing to step in to handle confrontation situations when needed. Security team members are friendly and people-oriented.
