Special Friends is a ministry serving families of individuals with special needs. Because we believe in the power and purpose of God’s work in and through any person’s life, we are committed to serving and empowering our Special Friends to become vital members of the body of Christ.
We provide trained one-to-one volunteers for special needs children and youth who attend our Sunday services, allowing parents and caregivers to feel free to enjoy the services. As a team, the child and volunteer participate in the child’s age-appropriate classroom, so the child can fully experience the program. We have a Special Friends room and other areas, designed for “chill time” if needed.
To schedule a volunteer for your child prior to weekend service, please contact [email protected] or 970.203.9201 x8215.
Thank you again for the program you have at Crossroads. It means so much to us that we can attend church together. Eric really likes to go as you probably noticed when he came in early. I don’t think there has ever been a time we got somewhere early. We will make sure we don’t arrive early cause he is out of the car and in a hurry to get inside. That is unbelievable!!
I’m looking forward to coming to the embrace group next month.
Special Friends families are invited to participate in any church special event. Our team will try to accommodate or modify for special needs enrichment and enjoyment.
